We sell Apple, Lenovo, Dell, Asus, Acer, HP, and more. MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, ThinkPad, XPS, Surface, EliteBook, gaming laptops, and the occasional rare find. Inventory changes daily because every machine is tested before it hits the floor. Through years of refurbishing we have learned which makes and models hold up; those are the ones we put on the shelves.
Refurbished the right way
Refurbished is not used. Every machine we sell is tested, cleaned, and stocked with what it needs to be useful out the door. It also comes with a clean operating system: no manufacturer bloatware, no trial software, none of the junk that ships on a lot of new machines. That means a faster setup, a cleaner experience, and often better real-world value than a comparable new laptop. This is not a thrift-store laptop with no support behind it.
A laptop that fits the way you live
We are near UVM, Champlain College, and St. Michael's, and we help a lot of students and families find the right machine without overspending. A refurbished MacBook Air gets a student through four years of college with money left for textbooks. Buying refurbished is easier on the wallet and keeps a good laptop out of the landfill, and we transfer your old data for half off with your purchase.

Most people walk in not knowing exactly what they need. These three questions usually get you there in a few minutes.
What will you do with it?
Web, email, video calls, and documents fit on almost any laptop. Photo, video, gaming, music production, or coding push the requirements higher and the price up.
Mac or Windows?
If you have used one for years and like it, stick with what you know. If you are switching, we can talk through trade-offs. MacBooks tend to hold their value, Windows laptops give you more options at lower prices.
What is your budget?
Tell us a number and we will show you what fits. Most students do well in the $300-$700 range; professionals usually look at $500-$1200. Progressive Leasing financing is available if you would rather pay over time.
Common questions
Do refurbished laptops come with a warranty?
Yes. Every laptop we sell in the store comes with a 1-year hardware warranty. It covers hardware failure, like a keyboard that stops working. It does not cover accidental damage, liquid, drops, cracked screens, or viruses.
Can you move my data over?
Yes. When you buy a refurbished laptop or trade one in, we transfer your data for $60 with your purchase (half the standard $120), usually the same day. Photos, documents, browser bookmarks, the lot.
Do you ship, or is it in store only?
Store sales are in person only at 196 College St. Many customers drive in from around the region, some from a couple of hours away.
Is there financing?
Yes, we are approved for Progressive Leasing. Ask us in store for details on monthly payments.
Can I trade in my old laptop?
Yes. We will give you a quote and you can put it toward a refurbished machine, or take cash. We pay up to $125 for PC laptops and up to $400 for Mac laptops.
What if something goes wrong after I buy it?
Bring it back. The hardware warranty covers hardware failure for a full year. We are right here on College Street, not a help desk in another country.
How old are the laptops?
It varies. Older MacBooks that still run the latest macOS get a lot of life. Business-class Windows laptops (ThinkPad, EliteBook, Dell Latitude) tend to be from the last three to six years. We do not sell anything that cannot handle today's web and apps comfortably.
What is the difference between refurbished and used?
Used means it was someone else's, sold as-is. Refurbished means we tested every component, replaced anything that needed it, cleaned it inside and out, installed a fresh operating system, and back it with a 1-year warranty. Different category.
